The Moose and Admirals have each won a game in their first round series which makes today’s afternoon contest the deciding one to determine who will advance and face the Grand Rapids Griffins in the second round.
Manitoba won 2-1 in Game 2 but it was a rather dominate game by the home team and Milwaukee’s saving grace was the play of goalie Matthew Murray who made 41 saves on the night.
Parker Ford has goals in back-t0-back games and the Moose PK stepped up with three straight 3rd period kills in the do-or-die game. Their usually powerless power play ended up being the difference as David Gustaffson‘s tip of the Brayden Yager shot proved to be the game-winner.
About the only thing uncertain is whether they continue with Domenic DiVincentiis in net or they go back to Thomas Milic. Suspect they stick with DiVincentiis but since there is no AM skate we will have to wait until warm-up about 30 minutes before puck drop to get that information.
