Note: The Jets were off on Friday as they looked to continue to build on the momentum of three straight victories in must-win games. That must-win mentality must continue when they welcome the Flyers to town. Morning skate for Winnipeg gets underway at 9:30 AM CT so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 6 PM CT.
Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Philadelphia, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 8:40 PM CT.
Note III: The Moose were looking golden as they opened the scoring courtesy of Jets prospect Brayden Yager‘s 10th of the season and then added three more goals to take a commanding 4-0 lead over a Stars team they entered play four points back of for 3rd place with a game in hand. The home team could not close it out giving up the game tying goal with six seconds left in the final frame before they won it in the shootout with Thomas Milic making both saves while Nikita Chibrikov (see here) and Danny Zhilkin (see here) both scored to win it 5-4 for Manitoba.
Note IV: Last night in the OHL, Edison Engle (2025 6th) was held off the scoresheet but his Bulldogs won again while Kevin He (2024 4th) picked up an assist in Flint’s first loss of the playoffs. Down in Vegas the NCAA Championship game will feature Jets prospect Garrett Brown (2022 4th) and his Denver Pioneers taking on the Wisconsin Badgers at 4:30 PM CT.
