In last night’s 6–2 Jets win over the Kraken in Winnipeg, a milestone was reached by the first-ever draft pick of this franchise in the 2.0 era.
Mark Scheifele recorded the primary assist on what proved to be the game-winning goal by Kyle Connor, bringing him to 900 career points.
During a TV timeout shortly afterward, he was recognized for the achievement and received a huge ovation from the home crowd.

He added a third assist in the game, also a primary on a goal by Connor, to finish the night with 901 points.
By reaching the 900-point mark, he becomes the first player to do so in the 2.0 era.
The only other player to reach that milestone was his mentor and Winnipeg Jets 1.0 legend Dale Hawerchuk, who recorded 929 points in 713 games.
After the game he was asked what it meant to reach this milestone.
“Means a lot. Obviously, very honoured and humbled by it. It’s pretty cool to think about, it’ll probably take a little time to sink in, but obviously, it’s very cool in my mind.”
In a follow-up, he was asked who he thinks about.
“Oh, everyone that’s been in my life throughout the hockey years. Family obviously is big. Just gotta thank God for it all. I’m very blessed, very lucky, and gotta thank God for it all.”
Based on his current points-per-game rate of .943 you can expect him to tie Ducky in about 30 games.
