Note: The Jets failed to gain ground in the playoff race after a disastrous 3-0 loss to the Stars last night in Dallas while teams around them were able to add points. As a result Winnipeg finds themselves three points back of the second wild card spot. They travel today to Columbus where they will conclude their four-game road trip.
Note II: It was an incredibly busy day in Moose land on Thursday as they had a full contingent on the ice including all three college free agent signees (media: Lukas Gustafsson, Davis Burnside and Lucas Wahlin). They kick off the homestand against the Griffins who come into the game as the top team in the west although they had hit a bit of a skid going 5-4-1 in their last ten although they run of late is 3-0-1-0. Puck drop is at 2 PM CT.
Note III: Good timing for Jets prospect Edison Engle (2025 6th) to score his first ever OHL playoff goal as he goes bardown. It turned out to be the game-winning and series clinching goal as Brantford sweeps Sudbury.
