Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Feb 15, 2026

A daily roundup of Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose coverage — all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: One current and one former Jets player did battle yesterday as Kyle Connor and the Americans defeated Nikolaj Ehlers and Denmark by a final score of 6-3. Connor Hellebuyck dressed as backup. The Dynamic Dane finished with an assist in the loss. Today, Nino Niederreiter and the Swiss will take on Czechia while Canada (sans Josh Morrissey) will face France.

Note II: The Moose didn’t get out of the gate quickly on Saturday but they scored first (Fagemo) and then scored three more times (Zhilkin, Yager, Fagemo) to take a commanding 4-0 lead over the visiting Wranglers. They capped it off with a shorthanded Walker Duehr goal to put the game away with a 5-1 victory. They are scheduled to practice today at 11 AM CST as they get set for tomorrow’s re-match.

Note III: Jets prospect Kevin He (2024 4th) is on fire as he scored two more goals last night for Flint. That gives him an eight-game goal streak (13 scored during it). Since being dealt from the IceDogs to the Firebirds he has matched his points total from earlier this season but in nine fewer games.
