Note: The four Jets at the Olympics in Italy got going on Thursday. Nino Niederreiter and his Swiss team defeated the French 4-0 while Josh Morrissey and Canada also shut out their opponent defeating Czechia 5-0 but it came with a cost as 44 left the game in the 2nd period, did not return and there was no update after the game. We shall have to wait and see if there is any news today. The last game saw Connor Hellebuyck and Kyle Connor defeat Latvia by a final score of 5-1 with the Jets netminder making 17 saves on 18 shots. Canada will take on Switzerland today so if Morrissey is good to go then he’ll face his teammate at 2:10 PM CST.
Note II: The Moose are back on the ice today as they get set to face the Wranglers tomorrow to kick off four straight games at home. Check back for the Practice Report.
Note III: Another big game last night for Jets prospect Kieron Walton (2024 6th) as he had four points (2G 2A) for Peterborough in a win and was named 1st Star of the Game.
