Note: The Jets and Wings were in a tight battle through 40 minutes but that pesky 3rd period was the difference in the game as the visitors exploded for four goals in the final frame on their way to a 5-1 victory. As you might imagine the bench boss was not happy! Scott Arniel’s post-game lasting a grand total of 1:07 (which included time of questions from Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press). The team is off today.
Note II: The Moose hit the ice on Saturday for a practice as they got set for their re-match this afternoon against the AHL-leading Griffins. Puck drop is at 2 PM CST.
Note III: Jets prospect Kieron Walton (2024 6th) with a power play goal and a nice primary assist in a Peterborough win. He is 2nd in OHL points race with 61 (29G 32A). Had 7 shots in the game which gives him 248 on season (59 more than next closest player who has played six more games).
