If you watched the the stretch in the 1st where Winnipeg didn’t get a shot for 14 minutes there is no way you would have said the Jets would have held a 6-1 lead after 40 minutes. But they exploded for three goals in the 1st and three goals in the 2nd to take a stranglehold on the game. They gave up one more late in the 3rd but the run continues as they had now won four straight.

Notable:
The Jets went around 14 minutes without a shot in the 1st but scored three times in the final six minutes including twice in the last minute to take a 3-0 lead into the middle frame.
Four straight games with a goal for Jonathan Toews and it was his 900th NHL point. That gives him seven on the season as he opened the scoring for the Jets in Minnesota.
Next up was Tanner Pearson who scored his third goal in the last five games. More 4th line scoring.
After giving up one to the Wild just under five minutes into the middle frame the visitors would retake their three goal lead when Logan Stanley unloaded an absolute cannon on the power play. Give him eight goals in 44 games.
After enduring long stretches without a victory over the past couple of months, the Jets have now put together a four-game winning streak.
Still a big hill to climb but as head coach Scott Arniel said yesterday their focus is just catching the team in front of them. Highlighting the difficulty of their task they did that briefly by passing the Flames but Calgary also won so they jumped back ahead of Winnipeg.
