Note: The Jets were off on Monday but the team made some news as they placed Colin Miller on IR and recalled Isaak Phillips for the first time. Morning skate for Winnipeg gets underway at 10:30 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and New York (I), we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 9:40 PM CST.
Note III: The Moose used Monday as a travel day but they too had some news as Jets prospect Jacob Julien was reassigned from the ECHL affiliate Admirals to the AHL club of Manitoba. After being injured for the entire season he played his first couple of games as a pro and will have a chance to make his American Hockey League debut possibly tonight. The Moose take on the IceHogs in Rockford. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Note IV: This news is more Jets adjacent as former head coach Rick Bowness is coming out of retirement to take over the bench in Columbus. Local fans won’t see him in Winnipeg since the Blue Jackets already played here this season but the Jets will be in Columbus in early April so the team will get a chance to see him then.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Ex-Jets boss Rick Bowness makes another comeback. Was certainly a shock to see this news come across the wire.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets forward Perfetti finding his game on newly-configured second line. (Paywall). Coach Scott Arniel was desperate for a second line which could get him some scoring. He seems to have found it with this trio finding quick chemistry.
