post-game recap

Jets’ six-game slide (0-3-3) continues with 3–1 loss to Oilers, Winnipeg tied for last in NHL

Recap of the game.

The Jets performed admirably, but in a results oriented business, all they have to show for tonight’s effort is another notch in the loss column, dropping a 3-1 decision to EDM. With the loss they remain tied with the Hawks for last place in the NHL.

Notable:

The second ever draft pick by Winnipeg (captain Adam Lowry) played in his 800th NHL game. That puts him fourth for players wearing a Jets jersey in this province behind Thomas Steen (950), Mark Scheifele (916) and Blake Wheeler (874).

As well Neal Pionk moved into sole possession of 10th spot on the All-Time Jets 2.0 games played list with 468 (moving past Andrew Copp).

Former Jet Jack Roslovic with the game-winning goal on a lethal Oilers power play.

In the deserve to win-o-meter scale the winner would have been Winnipeg but what actually matters is goals and in that category Edmonton came out on top.

That was the 18th regulation loss of the season for Winnipeg in game 37. Crazy when you consider this team didn’t suffer that loss until game 69 last year on March 18th.

Multi Point Game:
