Notable:
Seven straight games the Jets have given up a power play goal as the Bruins tie the game with the man advantage. Winnipeg’s PK has dropped from Top 5 to 20th in the NHL.
The Jets evidently didn’t get the memo that their PK stinks right now because they took a second stick infraction minor in the 1st in the offensive zone leading to the Bruins taking a 2-1 lead in the game.
Adding insult to injury the Jets gave up a third goal in a span of 2:44 to go down 3-1.
Gabriel Vilardi was recognized for playing in his 300th NHL game.
Jets “commitment” to defence showed on plays like this one where the Bruins were left alone in front of Eric Comrie.
Bad rebound for Comrie to leave and the Bruins capitalize making it 4-2. Chaos from Winnipeg defenders doesn’t help.
Beating an icing was the icing on the cake as the Bruins made it 5-3. That was the real stick a fork in them, they are done moment.
With the loss the Jets fall to 14-15-1. That’s 15 regulation losses in 30 games. Just to put things in perspective the 2024-25 team suffered their 15th loss in game 60 (in late February).
