Manitoba Moose Practice Report

Moose look to keep rolling as they get set to conclude homestand against Wolves.

The AHL club of Manitoba is feeling good about themselves these days and with good reason as they’ve won seven of their last eight games including three of four on this six-game homestand. They will conclude with two against rival Chicago this weekend in Winnipeg. When you consider they played the Wolves twice last weekend (both wins for the home team) and will play them the next three games, it is quite an oddity in AHL scheduling facing same

Sent down:

As the Moose get healthier they reduced their roster sending Kevin Conley down to Norfolk.

Skate news:

Everyone was present and accounted for with the exception of prospect Fabian Wagner who is banged up and was wearing a yellow, non-contact jersey last time we saw him at a full practice. In a positive development another prospect in Jacob Julien was a full participant for the first time in practice although based on line rushes he won’t be making his pro debut quite yet.

Health news:

Regarding prospect Fabian Wagner, head coach Mark Morrison indicated “Fabian is still a bit away here. He’s taking a couple of days and then coming back and trying again.” When it came to Jacob Julien he said “Julien is full contact practice out there. We’d like to get one or two more practices in and get him back to full game shape before he plays. But he looked good today.”

Up next:

The Moose will face the Wolves tomorrow afternoon with puck drop at 2 PM CST.
