Note: The Jets were in Elmont, NY taking on the Islanders yesterday where we saw Eric Comrie ready to go right from puck drop even if his team wasn’t. Eventually the rest of the squad got going building a 4-1 lead (goals from Barron, Niederreiter, Stanley & Pearson) which they eventually ended 5-2 with the depth delivering. They are off today.

Note II: The Moose are back on the ice today after a day off on Monday. They will practice in Winnipeg for the next few days before they take off for six games on the road starting in Grand Rapids against the Griffins.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Giving ‘thanks’ to the support staff, Jets win 5-2 over the Islanders. Up and down the lineup the Jets got a piece of the win on Monday.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets penalty kill pushing for top-10 status in the NHL. One of the biggest talking points when it was realized that the Jets would be without Adam Lowry and Dylan Samberg was how would the PK be without them for the first month of the season. While it’s only three games into the season so far it’s been pretty, pretty, pretty excellent.
