The Jets started to make some roster moves on Monday when they placed Mason Shaw and Phil Di Giuseppe on waivers (both cleared today) and loaned Danny Zhilkin to the Moose. That got them down to 42 players left on the roster.
There was some talk that they may wait until after tonight’s game with the Wild before they put anyone on waivers to see how they came through the game. As well tomorrow is an off day.
However, they have placed Tyrel Bauer and Isaak Phillips on waivers for purposes of assignment to Manitoba. Provided both get down to Manitoba that adds a lot of physicality on the backend.
The team also released Ashton Sautner and Dawson Barteaux from their PTOs. Both players will head to the Moose as they are already on AHL deals.
Lastly, prospect Kieron Walton, who was still in camp as he was recovering from a concussion, was on the ice today with the second group and he must have been cleared as he’s been sent back to Sudbury to play for the Wolves.

This leaves them with 37 players on the roster but it’s actually 35 since Adam Lowry/Dylan Samberg are both hurt and won’t start the season with the team.
