Note: It was an incredibly busy Monday in Jetsland. We watched the first group skate (which featured some new look lines) and thereafter learned that Dylan Samberg is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a broken wrist while Connor Hellebuyck left the skate early as he “wasn’t feeling quite right”. We’ve got the full roundup from day 12 here.
Note II: We spoke with Haydn Fleury (watch here), Logan Stanley (watch here) and head coach Scott Arniel (watch here) after skate on a Monday.
Note III: Yesterday around 1 PM we learned that the Jets had placed Mason Shaw and Phil Di Giuseppe on waivers as per Frank Seravalli. The team subsequently announced they had loanedprospect Danny Zhilkin to the Moose which brings their training camp roster down to 42.
Note IV: We did basically get the lineup configuration for tonight’s game in Minnesota against the Wild. Of course morning skate gets underway at 10 AM CDT so we’ll likely know more about the status of 37. Stay tuned.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ Hellebuyck misses practice, Samberg out 6-8 weeks. (Paywall). That was some pretty, pretty, significant injury news.

Winnipeg Sun: After a dozen years, Shaw and Clague reunite in Jets organization. Funny how Gordon was in Alberta covering them all those years ago and now they are all in Manitoba.
Winnipeg Sun: Dylan Samberg has broken wrist, to miss six to eight weeks. Crazy to think one little play has such a big impact the start of the season.
