Winnipeg Jets 2025 1st Round Draft Pick (28th overall): Sascha Boumedienne

Meet the first pick by Winnipeg at the decentralized draft.

The Jets pick is in as they select Sascha Boumedienne from Boston University (he was the youngest player in NCAA Division I hockey this past season) with the 28th overall selection. He was born in Finland but was raised in Sweden and plays for them internationally. The left-shot defenceman spent the last four years in Ohio according to the NHL.

Intensely fights for positioning, getting inside when possible and bringing players into the wall when not.
