Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: It was a late one but if you’re a Jets fan it was a good one as Winnipeg put up their most impressive effort of the playoffs in Game 5 last night in the Manitoba capital facing elimination. They rolled to a 4-0 win over the Stars forcing the series back to Dallas. The highlight might have been a chant from Jets fans after a goal by Mark Scheifele was disallowed and they quickly came up with ‘should have kicked it”. Pretty funny stuff right there. Today at 11:30 AM CDT they’ll hold a media availability so we will have that posted here and on our YouTube channel.

Note II: Over in the OHL there was also a Game 5 being played between a pair of Jets prospects and their junior clubs. Jacob Julien (2023 5th) and his Knights squad were up 3-1 in the series over Colby Barlow (2023 1st) and the Generals. Julien had two assists in the victory by London which won them back-to-back OHL Championships and punched their tickets to the Memorial Cup.
