He was one of the players who stuck around after this past AHL season in Manitoba ended and was officially named to the taxi squad/black aces for Winnipeg on April 28th.

AJF first came to Winnipeg when they claimed him off waivers from Washington during the start of the 2022-23 season. He’d go on to play 50 games for the Jets that season contributing six goals and eight assists.

Last season he split his time between the NHL and AHL clubs of Manitoba playing 26 games for Winnipeg and 41 games for Manitoba. He spent the entirety of the 2024-25 season with the Moose playing in 65 games while finishing with 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points.

He did have an important role off the ice this year as he was a big asset in helping two Jets prospects make the transition to the city. It was clear in conversations with Elias Salomonsson (2022 2nd) and Fabian Wagner (2022 6th) that both felt he helped them acclimatize to life outside of their native Sweden.

He finished with 99 NHL games between the Jets (76) and Capitals (23) which saw him score 10 goals with 13 assists while also playing 262 games in the AHL between the Moose (110) and Hershey (152).
