Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: It’s gonna be a late week with the Jets out west but the team from the centre started things off on the right skate leaving Seattle with a 3-2 win in OT last night to start the road trip with a victory. They are now in top spot in the NHL, two points shy of 100 and 11 points up on the Stars (who have two games in hand) for top spot in the Central. Today they are in Vancouver where they will practice for their game against the Canucks tomorrow night. Stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose faltered yesterday in Iowa as they fell to the Wild 6-2 which puts a real damper on their playoff aspirations. The impressive run for Jets prospect Fabian Wagner also came to an end which saw his goal streak end at five games as well as his six game points streak conclude. Today Manitoba will practice as they prepare to conclude the road trip in Rockford.

Note III: Prospect Kieron Walton (2024 6th) with two goals for Sudbury on Sunday. He’s got 38G 53A for 91 points in 63 games and remains 9th overall in OHL points race. Also in the OHL Jacob Julien (2023 5th) finished with 1G 1A for London.
