Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The cardiac Jets continued their improbable run last night getting the equalizer with less than 30 seconds to go in the 3rd followed by Mark Scheifele making history via his OT game-winning goal which set the Jets/Thrashers franchise record. It was the 10th straight victory for the Jets which was the most ever by an NHL franchise located in Winnipeg (eclipsing the nine game streak the 1984-85 Jets went on). They were supposed to practice before heading to Ottawa but will instead use today as a travel day.

Note II: The Moose shift practice today from Toronto to Belleville as they prepare for their game against the Senators which goes tomorrow night to kick off a two-game set. They are set to skate at 1 PM CST at CAA Arena.

Note III: Looks like Morgan Barron, who is in a regular jersey again, is close to returning to the lineup as per head coach Scott Arniel. He’s been out since end of January in a game against the Habs.

Jets news:

I thought they competed quite hard. At the same time I thought the Jets looked disconnected which is unusual but not a massive surprise given this is just their second game back since the break.
