2022 2nd rounder Elias Salomonsson is following in a long line of Jets prospects on the Moose who will represent the team at the AHL All-Star game.
This is his first season in North America. He’s played 17 games for Manitoba with three goals and nine assists for 12 points which earlier in the season had him at the top of Moose scoring. He also had a streak of being a part of every power play goal that the Moose were scoring.
Of course he’s been out of the lineup since December 6th when he took this hit that knocked him out of the game. On December 17th head coach Mark Morrison said he expected the right-shot defenceman to be back “right after Christmas”. Following the Christmas break this was amended on December 29th to he’s IR skating and the expectation was he’d be skating with the team the following week. The team are on the road and to the best of my knowledge he has not yet joined them. He will miss his 13th straight game this evening.
The All-Star game is being played in Palm Dessert, California on February 2nd and 3rd.
