Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Winnipeg Jets’ Morrissey ‘gutted’ over Scheifele’s Team Canada snub. Not out of character for 44 to think of his teammate in this situation as Paul outlines after catching up with him on the phone.

Winnipeg Sun: Cracked mirror, not crystal ball, tells Jets story. The idea that this team needs to rediscover their identity. What gave them success earlier in the season.

Winnipeg Free Press: Time to show what they’re made of. (Paywall). When the chips are down it is time for the Jets to show that this is simply a small bump in the road.

Global News: Addition of Brad Lambert a glimpse into Jets’ future? We don’t know how long it will last but it certainly is a good sign that they replace top six with top six from AHL rather than simply moving a player up. And that’s not to say Lambert will be a fixture in top six but that the philosophy was consistent.

Sportsnet: Jets struggle with simple mistakes as losing streak hits four. The vaunted Jets structure which we spoke about earlier in the season is not there to that same degree which is evidenced by the way they are losing hockey games.

The Athletic Winnipeg: What I’m seeing as the Winnipeg Jets lose 7 of their last 10 games. (Paywall). Murat gives you his thoughts on the tailspin.
