Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets ended the pre-season with a 3-2 exhibition win over the Flames last night after they saw a 2-0 lead slip away but a late 3rd period goal by Kyle Connor to send them back to Winnipeg with a victory. Dylan DeMelo took a shot to the face late in the game and after the game head coach Scott Arniel confirmed he was fine. They end the pre-season with a 3-2-1 record. They are scheduled to be off today and have a team bonding event tomorrow. We do know they will need to make some additional cuts to the roster to become compliant so we will have to wait and see what they do in the next two days. Stay tuned as always.

Note II: The Moose were off on Friday but return to the ice today with a total of 34 players on the ice after they got four more players after they cleared waivers on Friday. They will have an intra-squad game today at 12 noon at the hockey for all centre.

Note III: Memorable return to the WHL for the freshly named captain Brayden Yager who scored twice (here & here) in his first game of the season for Moose Jaw.

Note IV: Join us at 9 AM for two hours of Jets talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show. Check it out here.
