Training Camp

Latest from day 15 of the Winnipeg Jets training camp

Just over two weeks into camp we check out what’s happening with the NHL club of Winnipeg.

The Jets are coming off a tidy 5-2 win over the Flames last night as they slowly get closer to wrapping up training camp. They have one more game in Calgary and then they will have to submit their roster by Sunday.

Might they make more cuts today or tomorrow or might they wait until after the game on Friday to see if they have any healthy issues and don’t want to risk losing any players on waivers. As it is we are awaiting a health update on David Gustafsson who left the game last night in the 2nd period after getting taken hard into the boards.

Third round of cuts:

Before skate got underway the Jets announced they had reduced their roster by seven players. Four of whom (Lundmark, AJF, Shaw & Toninato) will need to clear waivers and three of whom (Milic, Bauer & Kuzmin) are assigned directly.

Skate news:

According to Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun no David Gustafsson and also missing today is Jaret Anderson-Dolan. He also provides the lines and D pairs from today’s skate.
