Winnipeg Jets coach Scott Arniel with latest on David Gustafsson & Jaret Anderson-Dolan

Latest after he left the game in the 2nd period last night.

In the 2nd period of the Jets 5-2 over the Flames last night in Winnipeg they lost David Gustafsson after he took a hit into the boards.

He left the ice looking a bit worse for wear and would walk down the tunnel and not return to the game. After the game head coach Scott Arniel said “We’ll evaluate him tomorrow. He got hit. Lowry-body. Just in front of the penalty box. He wasn’t able to come back. We’ll check on that tomorrow and see how he does.”

Gustafsson wasn’t on the ice for the skate today and afterwards Scott Arniel provided an update indicating:

“Gus, actually good news. He’ll be OK. We’ll go day-to-day on him. See where he’s at each day.”

Good news for the Swedish forward.

Also dealing with an issue is Jaret Anderson-Dolan, who was also missing from skate today.

”JAD. He got hit with a shot there. I think it was on the penalty kill or five-on-five. He got hit. Pretty sore, swollen up today.”

The Jets bench boss said more than likely both players will be out for the final pre-season game tomorrow night in Calgary although he added “we’ll see if they skate in the morning”.
