Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: With the conclusion of Jets Development Camp on Sunday it effectively ended the 2023-24 campaign as the prospects and camp invitees head back home for a summer of training to get ready for the 2024-25 season. We’ve got all the media availabilities from the last four days here. The Jets still have some RFAs to sign so stay tuned for that and it’s always possible they add a few more players to the mix.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ prospect Chaz Lucius a model of resiliency. It’s been a long, tough slog for the 2021 1st rounder but as someone who watched him when he is healthy you can definitely see what the organization likes about the Minnesotan.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets positive on prospects, but ‘there’s still work to do’ on roster. (Paywall). Mike breaks down the conversation with the Jets GM which concluded the camp.

Winnipeg Free Press: Milic made most of first pro season. (Paywall). If not for him the Moose might still be mired in last place in the AHL. He had a fantastic season last year for the Moose which was significant for both him and the organization.

Winnipeg Free Press: Defenceman Zloty excited to be back in Winnipeg with Moose. (Paywall). There was definitely a Winnipeg Ice feel at camp with a few of the players hailing from the former junior club of Winnipeg.

Global News: Jets put a wrap on Development Camp 2024. Kelly puts a bow on the last week in Jetsland.

Jets Development Camp:

We reflected on his last few days in Manitoba.

Illegal Curve Hockey: Chat with Jacob Julien. It was a fantastic development year for Jets 2023 5th rounder Jacob Julien who won the OHL championship and then  went to the Memorial Cup with his London Knights.
