Notable:

Gabriel Vilardi picked up his 11th goal of the season to open the scoring for the Jets.

Winnipeg got lucky as Isles goalie Ilya Sorokin lost his skate blade so he was unable to push across during a power play opportunity for the home team which Neal Pionk took advantage of to score his fourth goal of the season.

In need to break his goalless drought Mason Appleton got his seventh goal of the season courtesy of a nice forecheck and a bank shot to put Winnipeg up 3-1.

After the Islanders got within one the Jets got a goal courtesy of Kyle Connor into the empty net to continue to lead the team in goals with his 18th of the season.

Connor Hellebuyck improves to 23-7-3 on the season.
