The Jets are rolling along as the number one team in the league right now although they did have a bit of a hiccup on Thursday night when they had to stage a late 3rd period comeback against the Blackhawks to maintain their current eight game winning streak. They are also a bit banged up right now and are expected to be without Mark Scheifele for tonight’s game after he left in the 2nd period of the game against Chicago.
Philadelphia have been a solid road team (12-6-4) going up against a very good home team in Winnipeg (15-5-2) which should make for an entertaining game.
Morning Skate:
It’s an optional today for the Jets but as per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets there are some folks taking it including Kyle Connor in a regular jersey for the first time since he was injured on December 10th in Anaheim. AJF was skating as was Nikolaj Ehlers. No Mark Scheifele to the surprise of nobody.
Roster update:
Rick Bowness confirmed in his media availability that Mark Scheifele won’t play. There are some other game-time decisions like Nikolaj Ehlers and they may go 11/7.
Warm-up skate:
No changes from what we projected this morning. Logan Stanley did take to the ice but he wasn’t part of line rushes.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Ehlers-Lowry-Vilardi
Perfetti-Namestnikov-Iafallo
Niederreiter-Kupari-Appleton
Barron-Toninato-AJF
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt
Hellebuyck
Brossoit

The NHL has made embedding videos more difficult this season. You need to “Accept All Cookies” and then you’ll have to scroll down a little in their window to see the video.
Betway Odds:
The Flyers played last night in St. Paul coming back to defeat the Wild in OT but this will be their third game in four nights so they’ve been playing quite a bit of hockey lately. So have the Jets but they’ve had the benefit of being at home. We all know what the Jets have done so it isn’t a surprise that the oddsmakers are giving the big edge to the home team for this contest. Be sure to check out the latest game day odds from Betway.
