Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Jets set new franchise record for points in consecutive games (8-0-2) as they defeat Sharks 2-1

Recap of the game

The Jets remain undefeated in 2024 as they defeat the Sharks 2-1 to improve to 24-9-4 on the season. The Jets set a new franchise record for points in consecutive games (8-0-2). The record for an NHL franchise in Winnipeg was 13 games (10-0-3) set back in 1984-85.

It has been over two months since the Jets gave up more than three goals. The streak is currently 27 games. That matches the 2011-12 St. Louis Blues. Next up will be the 2014-15 Minnesota Wild who are at 35 games.

Notable:

Morgan Barron, who is down in average ice time this season (from 13:15 to 10:59), now has 8 goals in 37 games. That matches his career high he set last year but does it in 33 fewer games.

Maybe it’s time for the Jets to hire Jonathan Toews as a faceoff coach? That continues to be a problem for Winnipeg.

Multipoint Game:

None.
