Note: The Jets and Rangers did battle last night with both clubs entering the game riding streaks. Winnipeg was on a points streak while New York had an impressive win streak that saw them defeat Seattle and then all the western Canadian NHL clubs which after last night’s 3-2 OT victory included Winnipeg on that list. The Jets were supposed to practice today before flying off to Vegas but they will instead travel today to Nevada and practice tomorrow in Sin City as they prepare for their Thursday game against the Golden Knights. As a result no media today.

Note II: Yesterday the city of Winnipeg welcomed Blake Wheeler after the former captain spent 12 seasons in Manitoba with the Jets. He spoke for over eight minutes following morning skate, Sportsnet released a one-on-one chat he had with Christine Simpson and then he received a standing ovation from the crowd during the second TV commercial timeout.

Note III: The Moose are coming off a two-game sweep of the Stars in Texas this past weekend and have enjoyed a couple of days off as they are back in Manitoba and getting set to host Rockford next weekend to kick off four straight at home. Today they will hit the ice for a practice and we’ll have plenty coming your way so stay tuned for the Practice Report.

Note IV: It’s been a noteworthy few days for Jets goalie prospect Thomas Milic (2023 5th rounder) who after picking up his first pro shuout on Sunday was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week on Monday.
