Note: The Jets, Moose and Ice are all in offseason mode but is there really ever an offseason? If there is any news we will have it for you here.
Note II: Jets prospect Brad Lambert & his Seattle teammates will battle Quebec with a shot to win a Memorial Cup (WHL vs QMJHL) on Sunday. The Jets prospect opened the scoring with his first goal of the tournament last night in his team’s 4-1 win over Peterborough. Also something tells me Jets fans will be seeing many goal celebrations in the future like this one.
Note III: Join us this morning at 9 AM CDT on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show for two hours Jets, Moose and Ice talk today. We will be joined by Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet and Luke Fox also of Sportsnet.
Jets news:
The Athletic: Jets’ Brad Lambert looks like a top prospect again after half season in Seattle. (Paywall). A good read on the development path for the prospect who fell to the Jets but appears to be back on the upswing with the way he’s developed in junior.
NHL.com: Nino Niederreiter reflects on the Worlds and his busy last two months. Jamie caught up with the Swiss forward.
Daily Faceoff: The Summer of Chevy: Winnipeg Jets’ Hellebuyck, Scheifele, Dubois and Wheeler join Trade Targets. Franks thinks there is a possibility all four might be gonzo but I don’t see that happening. Pierre-Luc Dubois seems most likely, maybe Blake Wheeler but I don’t see the Jets dealing Mark Scheifele or Connor Hellebuyck. He’s got Hellebuyck at 2, Scheifele at 4, Dubois at 7 and Wheeler at 19. What say you?
Buffalo News: Sabres roundtable: Is a No. 1 goalie on the shopping list? If you’re wondering why I’m linking a piece on the Sabres under Jets news it is because in this Q & A writers Lance Lysowski and Mike Harrington are asked about Buffalo’s goaltending and that dovetails into a Hellebuyck discussion.
Winnipeg Sun: YOU BE THE BOSS: The Annual Winnipeg Jets Survey. If you’d like to add your voice to the survey conducted by the Sun then check out that link. It will be up until Sunday.

Winnipeg Sports Talk: Jets 2023 off-season speculation – possible trade partners & timeline for moves. Andrew “Hustler” Paterson is joined by Ken Wiebe and they discuss possible trade partners for Connor Hellebuyck and when we might finally see some trades.
