Note: The Jets went into Del Boca Vista Phase III last night and with some power play goals and a heck of an effort from Connor Hellebuyck held on for two points despite giving up leads of 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2 although the victory required an OT winner from Mark Scheifele. It was also a win that didn’t come without a cost as the team lost Josh Morrissey and Adam Lowry potentially for tonight’s game against the Lightning. While it is a gameday no morning skate with the Jets having played on Saturday night. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.
Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Tampa, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game. This season you’ll have a chance to win great schwag including authentic Jets jerseys, hats, etc after every single game (For a variety of ways to enter click here).
Note III: The Moose suffered a rare regulation loss to the Wild last night. Leading scorer Alex Limoges had a pair (goal 1 | goal 2). On both goals Ville Heinola and Jansen Harkins weren’t awarded assists but as Craig Button would say they both had nice third assists. These two teams have a re-match this afternoon in Iowa. Puck drop is at 2 PM CDT.
Note IV: After winning on Friday the Ice are back in business this afternoon against the Wheat Kings as they look to pick up another W at the expense of their provincial rival. They come into action today with 51 wins and are looking to eclipse the record-setting season they had last year with 53 wins. Puck drop is at 5:05 CDT.
Note V: Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert was breaking ankles and looking Nikolaj Ehlers-esque with the assist he had for the Thunderbirds last night. And then he was sniping top corner. He’s up to 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points in 21 games. Speaking of Jets first rounders from 2022 Rutger McGroarty had a goal and assist for Michigan as part of their big win over Ohio State. Fairly certain this kid will be a fan favourite simply for his post-goal celebrations.
