Game 37: Jets vs Bruins pre-game report

A look at the projected lineups and pre-game interviews.

The Jets haven’t had a stellar start to their four game road trip with a OT and regulation loss to date. They are playing a Bruins team that will be without Brad Marchand who suffered an injury in their last game against the Capitals.

A few question marks for Winnipeg prior to puck drop:

1) Will captain Blake Wheeler play his first game since he was injured back on December 10th?

2) If the answer to question 1 is yes then the next question becomes who comes out of the lineup for him? Given Evgeny Svechnikov played a whopping three minutes last game he might be watching instead of playing.

3) Will defenceman Brenden Dillon play now that he is put of Covid protocol?

4) If the answer to question 3 is yes then the next question becomes is it Dylan Samberg or Logan Stanley who comes out of the lineup?

Unless we hear otherwise it will have to wait for warm up skate 30 minutes before puck drop to have any sort of clarity.

Morning skate:

None

Transaction news:

The Jets have activated Blake Wheeler from LTIR and added Nikolaj Ehlers added to it. Also Kristian Reichel was moved to the taxi squad.

Warm up news:

Mike McIntrye of the Winnipeg Free Press indicated that Brenden Dillon and Blake Wheeler are on the ice.  No Logan Stanley so he’ll come out as will Evgeny Svechnikov.
