Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note: On Tuesday the Jets indicated that captain Blake Wheeler was “symptomatic positive” for COVID and sadly it may not be isolated according to insider Frank Seravalli who indicated today that Winnipeg is bracing for more positive Covid-19 tests.

Note II: While the temperature in Manitoba is supposed to be cooling off it is getting hot in here after the Jets blew the final game of the season opening road trip last night in St. Paul when the Wild stormed back for a 6-5 OT win. Today the team is off as they prepare for the home opener on Thursday against the Ducks.

Note III: The Moose are coming off a 5-0 win on Sunday and will close out the three-game road trip to start the season tonight in Laval as they take on the Rocket. Puck drop is at 6:30 PM CDT.

Note IV: Dmitri Rashevsky’s motor never seems to stop. The Jets 2021 5th rounder put home the OT winner for his 13th goal in 19 games for Dynamo. It ties him for the KHL lead in goals. He also had an assist in the win for Moscow. Puts him 11th overall in scoring: 19GP 13G 6A 19PTS. See it here.

Jets news:

Sportsnet: Concerning trends emerging for Jets ahead of home opener. Bit of an understatement in that headline as the Jets do not look like the Jets many folks anticipated.
