2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Canadiens 5 Jets 3 post-game 1 recap

Post-game recap and interviews with Jets players as well as from Coach Maurice.

The Habs take game 1 by a final score of 5-3 but all folks will be talking about was that brutal hit by Mark Scheifele on Jake Evans.

Notable:

The Jets lost Dylan DeMelo to a lower-body injury on his first shift of the game.  In addition to DeMelo it was a game that took a toll considering Mathieu Perreault had to be helped off ice (he returned), Adam Lowry left after a puck deflected into him while on bench (he took some time but eventually returned and Josh Morrissey was in pain but didn’t miss shift.  Add to this the fact that Paul Stastny didn’t dress for the game.

Adam Lowry scored his first goal of the playoffs shorthanded.

Defenceman Derek Forbort scored just his second ever playoff goal.
