Note: Been some buzz this week that the Jets are a team with interest in Minnesota defenceman Matt Dumba. It doesn’t seem very likely that a trade will happen but here is why this is in the news.

The Athletic Winnipeg: A Matt Dumba trade would in no way be a guaranteed win for Winnipeg. (Paywall). A bit of a wakeup call for those who think dealing Ehlers wouldn’t hurt the Jets in this piece by Murat.

The Athletic: 22 players who could be on the move this offseason. (Paywall). They’ve got Laine at #1 and Ehlers at #10. As we discussed in the first segment of last Saturday’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show none of the three of us (Ez, Drew or myself) see the Jets moving either of these two forwards.
