Note:  The Jets are back from their Christmas holidays and face off against the top team in the Pacific Division tonight in Winnipeg as they welcome the Flames to town.  We shall see how the couple of days off did for the health of the team as Coach Maurice said before the game in Vancouver last Saturday that he is hoping to have Adam Lowry and Andrew Copp back in the lineup tonight.  Check out the pre-game report for the latest news and audio ahead of the game with puck drop at 7:00 pm.

Note II:  The Moose remain off and are expected back on the ice on Friday as they prepare to wrap up this six game home stand with a pair of games against the newest team in the AHL, the Colorado Eagles.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Brossoit in Jets’ net the gift that keeps on giving.  (Paywall).  Considering Brossoit is 8-0-1 as a starter folks around the Winnipeg organization have to be incredibly thankful for this signing.  Although Jets bench boss Paul Maurice caught himself following Brossoit’s first ever NHL shutout last Saturday when asked about his backup “…if he was on a longer term deal I’d talk more nice things about him but we gotta sign him again this year so he’s just alright.”.
