Note: Fans coming off of their Labour Day Weekend with the reality of a busy Tuesday were likely hoping to learn that Josh Morrissey or Eric Comrie were close to signing new deals. Instead what they got was news that the Jets had extended captain Blake Wheeler for a further five years.
