Winnipeg Jets Mark Scheifele sets NHL playoff record for road goals

The Jets top centre sets the record for most road goals in an single playoffs.

Jets top centre Mark Scheifele had two goals tonight in Vegas in game 3 of the Western Conference Final giving him 14 in these playoffs. Of those 14 goals 11 have come on the road which has set a new NHL record previously held by Sidney Crosby (2009) and Joe Mullen (1989) for road goals in a single playoffs.

It has been quite the coming out party for the Jets centre who leads the entire NHL with his 14 goals.  Of course individual awards won’t mean much to 55 right now.

He is chasing Jari Kurri (Oilers in 1984-85) and Reggie Leach aka the Riverton Rocket (Flyers 1975-76) who had 19 goals.
