Latest Jets news.

Note:  Day 2 of Jets Development Camp at our the IcePlex.  Click here for a full listing of the schedule and roster.  Update:  To hear from Jack Roslovic and Kyle Connor following today’s skate click here.

Note II:  The Jets had until 4 pm CT on Monday to tender qualifying offers to their RFAs.  They had seven on their list and qualified four of them.

Jets news:

Sportsnet:  30 ThoughtsNumbers 13 (Jets goalies) and 14 (Jets potentially being in on Dmitry Kulikov as a left-handed option) are your Jets related tidbits.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets may covet goalie Elliott but there could be other suitors.  Have to think if he is making accommodations in this city that is a pretty good indication that he will be suiting up for the Jets but we won’t know officially until July 1st when free agency officially opens.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hectic few days behind him, Vesalainen arrives in Winnipeg.  Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that these kids are put on a whirlwind tour of draft, leave family behind and then journey to a new city where they don’t really know anyone.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Lemieux looking to be a lean, mean agitation machine.  (Paywall).  He is certainly hungry and can see the opportunity that lies in front of him right now as he looks to continue to be a net front presence but changing that Moose logo for a Jets decal.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Whirlwind weekend lands young Finn in Winnipeg.  (Paywall).

Global News:  Difficult day one of development camp for Jets prospects.  First day of development camp is usually eye opening for many of these kids.

Illegal Curve:  Jets extend qualifying offers.  They had seven RFAs but only extended those offers to four of them.

Jets audio:

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Vesalainen a good two-way player that needs time to mature.  Juha Hiitela of Iltasanomat joined the Afternoon Ride to discuss the two Winnipeg Jets Finnish draftees in Kristian Vesalainen & Santeri Virtanen, and explains why Teemu Selanne was a slam dunk for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
