Note:  The Jets will be California dreamin as they play a back-to-back set against the Kings and Ducks starting with a game against L.A. at Staples Center tonight at 9:30 pm.  Morning skate is at 1:30 pm CDT (obviously 11:30 am PDT) as we learn what modifications, if any, will be made to the Winnipeg roster.

Note II:  The Moose will finally get back into game action as they welcome the Milwaukee Admirals for back-to-back contests starting with a 7 pm game tonight at the MTS Centre.  These two games will end the eight game Moose home stand.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Critical time for Jets GM.  Lots of things to get done on Paul’s list as he provides his thoughts on the job done by the general manager and looks ahead at the things he still needs to accomplish.

Winnipeg Sun:  Five keys for Jets to beat Kings.  Ken’s list includes: 1) Scheifele staying hot. 2) Keep special teams sharp. 3) Solve the Pacific puzzle. 4) Contain Carter. 5) Doughty dangerous.  And Ken’s big match-up is Little vs. Kopitar.

Winnipeg Sun:  The Great Debate Part II.  Yesterday Ted took a look at the pros and cons associated with coach Maurice and today he turns his attention to the pros and cons surrounding GM Kevin Cheveldayoff.

Winnipeg Sun:  What can the Jets learn in garbage time?  As the season inevitably grinds to a halt in the next few weeks Ken looks at what an be gained over the course of the final ten games of the regular season for Jets players.

Illegal Curve:  Jets recall Brandon Tanev from the Moose on an emergency recall basis.  Is he being brought up as the 13th forward or might he get into the lineup?

TSN 1290 Winnipeg: Calder race down to Matthews, Marner, Laine.  Michael Landsberg joins Hustler & Lawless to break down the competition for the Calder Memorial Trophy. Landsberg also discusses the opportunity to address mental health in Canadian universities.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg: Coaching change is needed in Winnipeg.  Matt Larkin of The Hockey News joined the Big Show for an NHL chat including how the Panthers mishandled Aaron Ekblad’s concussion, the chances of a repeat for the Penguins and why the Winnipeg Jets need to make a coaching change in order to take the next step.

Moose news:

Illegal Curve:  Moose sign Luke Green and Francis Beauvillier to ATOs.  With the injury to Quinton Howden (yet to be determined how long he will be out) and with all the defence recalls the Moose have been making some moves.
