Winnipeg Jets re-assign Julian Melchiori and Brandon Tanev to the Moose

Couple of bye week re-assignments to the Moose.

With the Jets heading to a five day bye week they have re-assigned Julian Melchiori and Brandon Tanev to their AHL affiliate Manitoba.  The Moose play three games over the next five days so the two will get into some game action.  Tonight puck drops at the MTS Centre at 7 pm.  I will be down at the game as per usual so be sure to keep it locked to illegalcurve.com for all the latest news.

Jets Release:

Melchiori, 25, has played five games with Winnipeg this season and 31 games for the Manitoba Moose, recording six points (2G, 4A) and 16 penalty minutes. The Jets selected Melchiori in the third round, 87th overall at the 2010 NHL Draft. Last season Melchiori played in 11 games with the Jets and 62 games with the Moose registering seven points (3G, 4A).

Tanev, 24, has four points (2G, 2A) in 42 games in his rookie season with the Jets. He also has three points (1G, 2A) in five games with Manitoba. Following a four-year career with Providence College, which included winning the NCAA national championship in 2015, Tanev signed with the Jets as a free agent at the end of last season and played in three games.
