Video Description:
Kyle Bukauskas and Elliotte Friedman share some final thoughts for the season on all 32 teams including the Jets.

Dave’s notes:
With respect to the Jets they begin with Cole Perfetti and the team’s desire to get him signed. Calls it a “huge priority”. Said Winnipeg as a team have “moved the line” from a contract perspective in that they can still “grind” but then points out the Kyle Connor contract (8 years 12 million AAV) as one they previously hadn’t done in terms of bonuses and contract number.

Said team was thrilled to get Viggo Björck at draft and that they are gonna try to get a contract done. Thinks he’ll be given a shot to show if he’s ready for NHL when it comes to 2C. Also mentioned Brayden Yager. At the end of the clip he said the question with Winnipeg is: “Do they make their young players wait too long?” He thinks this year the organization will not be afraid to try giving these guys a shot at 2C.

Biggest key is bouncing back and “youth time”. References Brad Lambert, Isak Rosén, Elias Salomonsson.

Added the signing of Mario Ferraro was a big move. Called the Stuart Skinner move a “very interesting signing”.

“We’ll see what happens with Hellebuyck. Indicated they are gonna try to convince him to come back but Friedman thinks it is going to be “a really hard thing to do. I’m not counting on that.” Said biggest hurdle with Sabres trading for Connor Hellebuyck, which isn’t really breaking news, is the Buffalo wanted the 8th overall pick in return for the 4th and Winnipeg didn’t want to give it up. Said “I don’t know where this goes but I think it’s going to be hard to convince Hellebuyck to stay”.
