Post-game from the Jets and Blues dressing rooms as well as from Coach Maurice and Coach Berube.

The regular season began against the St. Louis Blues for the Winnipeg Jets and that’s how it will end in the post-season as the home side wins it 3-2 in game 6 and win the series 4-2. Jets out in the 1st round.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Bryan Little

Connor Hellebuyck

Josh Morrissey

Coach Maurice:  What was the difference in the series?  Did they run out of gas?  Was the series lost at the end of game 5 with how it ended?  On the first couple of Blues goals and goalie interference.  Trying to explain the 2nd period.  The desperation they showed in the 3rd.  How tough was it to start the game the way they did.  On the high expectations of the Jets this season and going out in the first round.  On Ehlers playing tonight.  Was there something missing down the stretch?  On things that didn’t get done.

Blues audio:

Jordan Binnington

Patrick Maroon

Alex Pietrangelo

Coach Berube:  On the Blues keeping things rolling from game 5.  Did the first shift set the tone?  What has gotten into Jaden Schwartz?  How close was this to the game he would have scripted?  What makes Schwartz and Schenn click so well together?  What did Binnington show him this series?  What’s one thing this series has showed him about his team that he likes?  Limiting the Jets to six shots through 2 periods.  How proud he is of this Blues team.  How important was it to avoid game 7?  Having a few days before the 2nd round begins, pros and cons.
