For the second straight day Jets winger Morgan Barron was on the ice with his teammates in a regular jersey as he works his way back from an injury he suffered in Montreal back on January 28th which thereafter knocked him out week-to-week. He wasn’t involved in lines at morning skate today so there wasn’t an expectation he would be playing tonight against the Sharks.

Jets head coach Scott Arniel was asked for an update on 36 and had this to say:
“He’s close. He’s close yeah. I think he got skated today. He’ll come on the trip here and may be an option for us either Ottawa or Nashville.”
He got lucky with the 4 Nations break that his injury has only cost him five (now six) games.
The veteran journalist shares his insight.
