Notable:
The second power play unit got on the board as the special teams continues to be an area of impact for the Jets. Vlad Namestnikov got his first goal in 13 games as he buried an Ehlers shot/pass into the back of the net.
The sharp eyes of Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press noted in the game that Gabriel Vilardi wasn’t taking any shifts. It wasn’t certain why although the broadcast did note that he was testing something during a commercial timeout. After the game Rick Bowness indicated he was hurt calling it an upper-body injury. Wieber asked if there was concern he might not be available on Saturday “Yeah I’d be concerned about that.”
