Winnipeg Jets will face the St Louis Blues in first round of 2025 playoffs

It came down to game 82 for the Wild and Blues and both teams won which means Minnesota will be heading to Vegas for their first round series and St. Louis will face Winnipeg.

It will be the second time these two teams face each other in the playoffs. The only other time was 2019 when, just like this year, the Blues went on a magic run which six years ago they ended with a Stanley Cup.

This year Winnipeg won the season series three games to one.

Of course the Blues since 4 Nations are a very different hockey team than the one before it. Since that tournament ended in February they have gone 20-4-3.

The Jets are also the Presidents’ Trophy team this season who finished as a top 5 offence and a top 5 defence.

Should be an excellent series. And so many storylines exist including:

4 Nations Final re-match between Hellebuyck & Binnington

Two longest serving GMs in Cheveldayoff (2011) & Armstrong (2010)

AGM in St. Louis is Winnipegger Alex Steen. Goalie Joel Hofer from ‘Peg
