Winnipeg Jets Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari skating and taking light contact as they work way back from injury

While the Jets got tough news on the injury front this week in California with the news that Kyle Connor was heading on IR it appears they may have some good news back in Winnipeg with Ville Heinola and Rasmus Kupari both skating today at hockey for all centre.

Eight days ago Ville Heinola skated for the first time since having ankle surgery back on October 9th although Jets head coach Rick Bowness cautioned he was still “a ways away”. Today we see he is skating in full equipment and taking light contact.

Back on November 15th associate coach Scott Arniel advised that Rasmus Kupari had suffered a shoulder injury and would be out 4-7 weeks. While we don’t know when he was first back on the ice he was certainly giving Ville Heinola some light contact this morning which is a positive sign for him as he recovers.
