Winnipeg Jets Transaction Report: Three moves made ahead of game vs Panthers

With Dylan DeMelo dealing with an injury and his status was unknown (to us at least) I suspected it might be time for the Jets to see what they’ve got in 2017 3rd rounder Johnny Kovacevic and that could be the case as the team announced this morning that they have recalled the prospect from the Moose to the taxi squad.

In addition to this move they have reassigned goalie Arvid Holm and Mikey Eyssimont from the taxi squad to the Moose.

We will have to wait until today’s morning skate at 10:30 AM to see if Kovacevic gets his first NHL game tonight. The 6’5 mobile right shot defenceman is having an excellent season in the AHL where he is tied for the goal scoring lead. Here are his goal highlights from the season: 1st goal2nd goal3rd goal4th goal5th goal6th goal and 7th goal. He doesn’t just score however as he his defensive play is also solid with him usually eating up the most minutes per game for Manitoba.
