Winnipeg Jets Transaction Report: Pair of moves made (on emergency basis) ahead of game against Canucks

The Jets are set to resume their four-game home stand tonight against the Vancouver Canucks (Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. CT).  After today’s optional team skate, we learned during Paul Maurice’s media availability that three players are being held out of tonight’s game; Connor Hellebuyck, Tucker Poolman and Neil Pionk.

As a result, the Jets recalled goalie Eric Comrie on an emergency basis to backup Laurent Brossoit for tonight’s game.  The Jets also announced that forward Dominic Toninato was recalled on an emergency basis to the roster.

It was a big day for Comrie who was voted by the local chapter of PHWA as the Winnipeg Jets nominee for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.

Jets Taxi Squad: Kristian Vesalainen, Marko Dano and Joona Luoto.
